This is a loft conversion project of a detached family house in Eynsford, Kent. The property sits on top of a hill with picturesque views over the Eynsford Viaduct.
Our client approached us with a brief to convert their existing loft space into two new bedrooms for their visiting families and guests.
After various explorations on the drawing board, we managed to propose two double bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms to fit comfortably within the loft space.
The property was built in the Georgian style externally, and renovated to a bespoke minimal modern style internally. We sought to design the new spaces as well as the loft staircase to follow on the black and white minimalism, adding a splash of Scandinavian natural textures, bridging between the old and the new.
We introduced three new rooflights on the sides of the roof, with the largest skylight fitted strategically above the loft stairs, flooding the lobby and landing with beautiful natural light.
We designed the spaces around the four existing dormers that frame picturesque views over the rolling hills of rural English landscape.
Plenty of storage spaces are built into the eaves, making good use of the wasted space and keeping the room uncluttered.
We design beautiful, thoughtful spaces filled with light.
Our small scale studio allows us to work closely and hands-on with our clients, assisting you through every step of the process from measured survey to building control technical drawings. We pour our hearts and full attention into every detail.
